About our school

William Rose School was officially established in 2003, building on a rich and respected history as North Rocks School for the Blind and North Rocks School for the Deaf and Blind. As William Rose School, we proudly continue to support the unique sensory and special educational needs of each student.

Our school is named in honour of William (Bill) Rose, an inspiring educator dedicated to students with special needs. His remarkable commitment and generous contributions have made a profound and lasting impact on the lives of many. It is in recognition of his legacy that our school proudly bears his name.
